I mounted this small camera in a large and heavy PTZ mechanism. The optics is GAZ10250 old lens with f = 10-250mm and iris range = 1.5-360. With a single infrared IR Osram diode(3,5watt optic) in a TIR reflector, they deliver images from 800m in total darkness. Although the images are some noisy, they meet the recognition criteria. For human identification it has few lines and would need a laser illuminator, at least in my case. In day time I see an 220KV electric power line dish insulator from 4km. It\'s incredible how sensitive this camera is. At nightfall the pictures are like in a sunny day. It does not have many adjustments and in the time day the image is overexposed if it has night setting. I recommend it for long range detection and recognition if there are no light sources. As it seems, it reminds me of the Japanese electronics of the \"80s that did not die.
